This is actually kind of funny in a twisted, pathetic way. I would laugh if it didn't hurt so **** much.
I met a girl at work who initiated the interest and flirting. I've been out of the game for a while, so I suck at the chase, but still good when caught.
Anyway this girl has managed to wack me good four times and I can barely stand:
1) First, I lost her due to really poor play on my part. Dunno weird chick. She says she likes me than bolts when I tell her my height. (5'9" she is 5'7") This is after working closely together for months!
2) Watched her pick up with a married player who is a real jerk (this guy thinks he's still in junior high). He came to my office and told me, "I screwed her and there is nothing you can do about it." just to stroke his ego.
3) Then she comes back to me telling me the player is a jerk and wants to know if I still care? Of course, I sadly had to say no to which she got really upset.
4) Now, six months later she gets engaged to a guy outside the company.
I am a good guy and try to get along with everyone, but I felt so dissed I ignore both her and the player as much as possible. I have to walk right past her cubicle on the way to my office every day without saying a word. We used to be such good friends or so I thought. Hurts like ****. I wanted to tell her my true feelings when she came to me, but given her actions I just didn't think it could really matter. Everyone tells me I am doing the right thing, but why doesn't it feel right?
We all used to eat lunch together (small company <15 people) but then everyone split up and she ate alone for a couple weeks, and would walk around seighing and mumbling stuff about karma (no joke). Then after unsuccessfully trying to sit with me, the player took her back and now they are friends again and I am out in the cold. I'm all messed up because I still have feelings for her, but her and her buddy have treated me like ****.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.
