There is this really cute guy, and i really really like him. Except he only treats me as his acquaintance. we sit opposite each other in english and all he doesn't notice me much. He does laugh at my jokes but thats all. How do i really get him to notice me and like me? He is the popular type, 10 other girls like him.

Guys are visual creatures...in order to get his attention you have to be very physically attractive. Guys have an adgenda...to be with the hottest girl possible. So if he is popular enough to have every girl after him, he has the advantage, and gets to pick the best out of the bunch. He already has every girl on a list, the most attractive at the top, and the least at the bottom. Now if you get a make over, and up grade your appearance, you might move up on his list.
Now doesn't that sound ridiculous? It is but too bad it's true. This is how guys think, especially the younger ones. As they get older they do look beyond the face and look for compatability, etc. Sorry you can win him over with just a sparkling personality.

What do you like about him? Is there something in particular about his interests or personality that sparks with you? Or is it just that he's popular and cute? If there is more to your crush than meets the eye, then maybe there is something about your personality or interests that he appreciates about you!
Otherwise, unfortunately, smackie9 is right - guys (especially at your age) are pretty dang shallow... it takes a while for them to become driven by substance rather than surface (and really, it seems some never do!)

I say stop worrying about attracting this one guy...you should be worried about attracting guys in general. Maybe spend time on polishing your look.....there is always room for recreating yourself. Wear striking colours, feminin tops, sexy boots, and a little make up can go a long way. Stop wearing hoodies and sweats.
