    What could this mean?

So my best friend ( the opposite sex ofc) asked me a very intruding question. She asked " If you trust your bestfriend with everything about his/her secrets. And you secretly felled in love with that person. How would you show it to him or her?"

I wasn't really prepared to answer this question. It just popped up in them middle of a conversation O: . So guys what do you think it means?

    Dunno... she's your best friend.

Sounds to me like she was hinting that she's fallen in love with you, but I could be wrong. If it turns out that's the case... sometimes being "with" your best friend is wonderful. Sometimes it gets weird.

Well ideally you would have maintained composure by telling her.. " maybe you can write a letter, or a note if you feel nervous, or even a message on facebook or email, or gather up the strength and ask them on a date simple as that.." and then if its you, she might just do that!

But apparently you havent recorded this clever/obvious tactic in your head and now i doubt you should approach her unless somehow you find out its you, or else you might make things creepy amongst your selves...

It can mean what she said or it can mean she likes you, but you werent clever enough to do what i implied so either do some detective work, wait for her to ask you again, or ask her out your self...

Yeah... here's a radical idea: ASK HER.

I speak from experience here... my wife is my best friend. I can talk to her about anything. I can say something to her and not be afraid that she'll take it the wrong way. If your female friend really is your best friend, you can too. Man up and do it.

Josh, it's time you learned to answer a question with a question. "Why do you ask?" would be a good response.

And Heart is Aching is right - if she really is your best friend, then you can be open and honest together and not be afraid of saying the wrong thing.
Never regret anything that has happened in your life. It cannot be changed, forgotten or undone. So, take it as a lesson learned and move on.

I'm also in a relationship with my best friend, and I was the one who told him in the first place that I had developed feelings for him. I think you should ask her... something like "so I was thinking about that question you asked me the other day, about friends falling in love with each other... was there any particular reason for which you asked?" with a big smile on your face... if you really are best friends, it won't even be that awkward. Good luck!
