    Haven't kissed a girl in 3 years and haven't had a girlfriend since my only back in 2005..One summer, I got more girls than I had before or since. In that time, I've only seen 2, not one of them occurring in the last 3 years..

    Maybe the good times are gone. I'm all washed up at age 23.

    Certainly most of the best things happen at that time (most of which I didn't actually get to do; prom, sex, etc.).

    Prom? I didn't go either. Who cares? I never thought about it at all until you mentioned it... what an odd thing to consider amongst the "best things".

    The excitement of finding and then asking someone to go, worrying about the suit, the limo ride there, getting a picture taken with your date, hanging with friends, getting drunk afterward, having sex with the date...That's a pure American experience.

    My teenager years were actually the worst of my life. I've been happy for all my early 20's and I'm sure the best has yet to come.

    Wallowing in the past and in past missed opportunities is not going to make being happy any easier for you, YC.

    You're right, searock. The irony is, so far this is shaping up to be the best summer of my life in terms of events and good times, and doing new stuff that is worthwhile...but it feels empty without a date or relationship.
