Advice? Please?

Hey everyone,

My oldest step daughter got dumped by her bf of one year on Saturday, and was informed today that he had in fact been cheating on her since as far back as august last year. The worst part is that he had been cheating on her with her best friend, who now is throwing this in her face and is going to remain with him. My question is, what can I and her father do to ease her pain? I've spent lots of time with her, I keep her busy (took her shopping today and then went out and rode horses) and I have been letting her talk about it, but it's clear that this slutty bf of hers will be back on the door step in a short while begging her to take him back. I worry for her health. Mental and physical. Any advice would be appreciated thanks!

You can only be there for her if she wants to talk to you. Shit like this happens all the time, and people deal with it differently. Ultimately, she'll make her own decision on whether she takes him back or not, and you really can't do much one way or the other.

Keep her busy, but let her have her alone time. Her best friend should be there to help her, but this isn't the case as her friend is pretty much a waste of flesh.

There is not much you can do to help her.

After all, it's her decision.
