Doesn't have to be your favourite song, just your favourite lyrics from a song.

I can honestly say that I can't think of any lyrics which are meaningful to me. I'm more about the music than the lyrics
Never regret anything that has happened in your life. It cannot be changed, forgotten or undone. So, take it as a lesson learned and move on.
Some people call them players
But I’m far from terrified
Cos somehow I’m drawn to danger
And have been all of my life
It feels my heart’s divided
Half way between wrong and right
I know I’m playing with fire
But I don’t know why
Yeah the bad boys are always catching my eye
(Ooh Way, Ooh Wah)
I said the bad boys are always spinning my mind
(Ooh Way, Ooh Wah)
Even though I know they’re no good for me
It’s the risk I take for the chemistry
With the bad boys always catching my eye
(Ooh Way, Ooh Way, Ooh Wah)
Oooooh, bad boys
I'm jammin to dis right now

It doesn't count as meaningful lyrics exactly but I'm going to have Under Pressure played at my funeral for sure and my sister's having Don't Stop Me Now lol
Sleep is a symptom of caffeine deprivation.
If you don't eat your meat, you can't have any pudding. How can you have any pudding if you don't eat your meat?
I'm like basilandthyme. I don't really care much about lyrics.
"In a tidal wave of mystery / You'll still be standing next to me" How friggin' cool.
"1,2,3,4.....The highway's jammed with broken heroes on a last chance power-drive!"
"Glory days/Well, they'll pass you by/Glory days"
An old man turned ninety-eight
He won the lottery and died the next day
It's a black fly in your Chardonnay
It's a death row pardon two minutes too late
And isn't it ironic... don't you think
It's like rain on your wedding day
It's a free ride when you've already paid
It's the good advice that you just didn't take
Who would've thought... it figures
Mr. Play It Safe was afraid to fly
He packed his suitcase and kissed his kids goodbye
He waited his whole damn life to take that flight
And as the plane crashed down he thought
"Well isn't this nice..."
And isn't it ironic... don't you think
It's like rain on your wedding day
It's a free ride when you've already paid
It's the good advice that you just didn't take
Who would've thought... it figures
Well life has a funny way of sneaking up on you
When you think everything's okay and everything's going right
And life has a funny way of helping you out when
You think everything's gone wrong and everything blows up
In your face
A traffic jam when you're already late
A no-smoking sign on your cigarette break
It's like ten thousand spoons when all you need is a knife
It's meeting the man of my dreams
And then meeting his beautiful wife
And isn't it ironic...don't you think
A little too ironic...and, yeah, I really do think...
It's like rain on your wedding day
It's a free ride when you've already paid
It's the good advice that you just didn't take
Who would've thought... it figures
Life has a funny way of sneaking up on you
Life has a funny, funny way of helping you out
Helping you out
I love this whole song. It's the one.
I was never really insane except upon occasions when my heart was touched. ― Edgar Allan Poe
Wish for a pile of shit to turn into gold hard enough and guess what? It's still a heaping pile of shit.

So close no matter how far
Couldn't be much more from the heart
Forever trusting who we are
And nothing else matters
Never opened myself this way
Life is ours, we live it our way
All these words I don't just say
And nothing else matters
Trust I seek and I find in you
Every day for us something new
Open mind for a different view
And nothing else matters
Never cared for what they do
Never cared for what they know
But I know
So close no matter how far
Couldn't be much more from the heart
Forever trusting who we are
And nothing else matters
Never cared for what they do
Never cared for what they know
But I know
Never opened myself this way
Life is ours, we live it our way
All these words I don't just say
And nothing else matters
Trust I seek and I find in you
Every day for us something new
Open mind for a different view
And nothing else matters
Never cared for what they say
Never cared for games they play
Never cared for what they do
Never cared for what they know
And I know
So close no matter how far
Couldn't be much more from the heart
Forever trusting who we are
No nothing else matters
The one you love and the one who loves you are never, ever the same person.
I never knew just what it was
About this old coffee shop I love so much
All of the while I never knew
All of the while
All of the while
It was you

This planet has - or rather had - a problem, which was this: most of the people living on it were unhappy for pretty much of the time. Many solutions were suggested for this problem, but most of these were largely concerned with the movement of small green pieces of paper, which was odd because on the whole it wasn't the small green pieces of paper that were unhappy. ― Douglas Adams, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy
...Can I just link you to my Facebook wall? lol I'll give you a few off the top of my head- will probably add more later.

"I've been waiting all my life / For someone like you to come mess with my mind. / Someone crazy, someone who / Could love me the way I loved you. / And three little words is all that I've got. / Three little words / Like it or not. / Tell me you notice. / Tell me you heard. / For you, I would run to the ends of the Earth. / I couldn't keep you, but I'll keep my word. / You're still the most beautiful babe in the world. / I love how it hurts."- Scouting for Girls (Love How It Hurts)
"The book of love has music in it. / In fact, that's where music comes from. / Some of it's just transcendental. / Some of it's just really dumb."- Peter Gabriel (The Book of Love)

I wish somebody told me I would light up
And in a second I would turn to ash
I wish somebody told me I would tear up
Always be out there lookin' for my other half
That I had a paper heart
That I had a paper heart
I wish somebody told me I would roll up
Into a little ball that you could throw away
If I woulda known I woulda folded up
Into a 747 airplane
Cause I've got a paper heart
Shoulda paid attention to the state of my condition
Before I kissed you that way, I shoulda listened
Thought I was a rockin' stone, standin' my ground all on my own
But I was blown away
Cause I've got a paper heart
Oh, I woulda never looked at you if I only if I knew
Never woulda kissed you that way, I shoulda listened
Thought that I was strong enough, knew all there was to know about love
But I was blown away
Cause I've got a paper heart
I wish somebody told me I would light up
And in a second I would turn to ash
I've got a paper heart
I've got a paper heart
That I had a paper heart
I've got a paper heart
I wish somebody told me, someone shoulda told me
I've got a paper heart
That I had a paper heart
I wish somebody told me, someone shoulda told me
I've got a paper heart

Wish for a pile of shit to turn into gold hard enough and guess what? It's still a heaping pile of shit.
After all of the hugely helpful and cathartic changes I went through, the song Forty-Six and 2 by Tool became my anthem:
I want to feel the change consume me
Feel the outside turning in
I want to feel the metamorphosis and
Cleansing I've endured in
My Shadow
I'm getting that tattoed on my back as soon as I can slack off on paying some things off.
The problem i found with this song is her examples of Ironic, most of them are garbage.
Don't get me wrong I like the song and her 1st albumn, but 10,000 spooons when you need a knife is not Ironic, a traffic jam when you're late is usually a weekly occurence and a no smoking sign on your cigarette break, how about you walk 20 metres down the road - Ridiculous.
Rant Over!!
