    Surprisingly....

Actually I like alot of sad/depressing ongs also, it reminds me that other people are going through exactly the same stuff as I am, and I think it's awesome that feeling can be communicated through songs whereas they are not as easy to say with words alone.....

    Some bands I like....

    1. ColdPlay
    2. Perfect Circle
    3. Stained
    4. All American Rejects
    5. Creed

    ect.
    ect.
    ect.

I can't seem to classify any rock or metal songs as being sad or depressing. They just have too much angst and energy to be sad.

Or, then there's the legendary "How Will I Laugh Tomorrow When I Can't Even Smile Today" by Suicidal Tendencies.

Now those are what I really call sad or depressing songs. No rock song can ever be depressing, too much energy in it.

How about songs, that are not nessesarily sad, but make you sad away because of what they remind you of. In that case my saddest song would be "I didn't do it" by Shaggy. Or maybe "down in a hole" by Alice in chains

Those R&B songs are too lame to truly be sad. I came across this song that's pretty depressing. It's an interesting contrast between a slightly upbeat song and depressing lyrics. It's called Komm Susser Tod but I can't find an artist, most sites just say its by Anonymous. Lemme know if anyone finds who does it. It translates from German as "Come Sweet Death". Great song, one of the favorite MP3s that I have.

Estranged is still the best. Atleast he wrote it for his ex-wife.
