Hi all,

I am new to this but have nowhere else to turn. I am a mum of 2 and love it more than life itself but I also have a partner who I also love. We don't live together (he is not the childrens father). We have been together 5 years. I have my house (rented) and he has his (owned). He wants me to move in with him (and the kids of course), problem is, I hate where he lives. It is rough, full of not nice people and I once lived near there and hated every minute of it. I am loving where I am now and so are the children.
What do I do? He doesnt want to leave his house as he has no rent/mortgage on it so to be honest, I can see why. I am paying alot of rent but live is better and I can afford it.
Please help. I love this man to pieces but I dont know how I can make him see my reasons. I would love to live with him, just not where he is.

He probably already does see your reasons. Think about it this way: you see his reasons, but his reasons won't change your mind. Therefore, him seeing your reasons probably isn't going to change his mind either.

At present you're in a stalemate because neither is willing to give up what you've got. I guess it comes down to the fact that both of you love where you live more than you love each other. Just something to think about.
