Approaching her... Need tips!

There's this great girl. She knows me, we've talked before but I failed to ask for her details (phone number or email). I see her frequently while walking on campus. I've stalled for so long I fear she lost interest.

I want to ask her to coffee the next time I see her. We graduate in a week and I'll never get a chance again.

The problem is I see her with her friends. I'm a bit socially uncomfortable in such situations. If I see her, should I just approach her and ask if she has a moment (away from her friends)? Introduce myself to her friends, or just hope they take a cue?

It's a chance I want and need to take. I just don't want it to be too awkward for her.

Please advise.

Don't go solo have a couple of buddies with you and make it a social thing so it doesn't look too obvious.
