I asked a guy out like this: "I'm not really good at this, but would you like to go and have a drink sometime? If you don't want to, that's fine too, but I'd really like it." Got a hug.

So apparently he doesn't like me that much. Any way I can still get a date? I really like him.

If he doesn't ask you out now that he knows you like him then don't bother with him anymore.

Congratulations on having the confidence in yourself to ask him. Now, don't let rejection whittle away at that confidence because his rejection is just a lost opportunity... HIS lost opportunity, certainly not yours.

Seriously guy might already have a girlfriend or hes just busy with more serious things. Might be a guy that many girls want to go out with.

I assume you got the hug after you two went to have that drink?
There are two reasons why one would only hug the other, one - he sees you as a friend and doesn't want anything more from you, two - he was too shy to kiss you (that can happen).
