Here's a clip of uniformed police officers looting.

That disturbs me on such a different level, Police are supposed to be role models for society, to see that kind of corruption is scary indeed.

Since they have them on film, I am sure they will be held accountable at some point.
I hope they are more severely punished than the rest of the looters.

Nobody cares any more. Everyone is just trying to survive. I don't blame anyone who loots if they need what they are taking. As for the raping and shit. That is not necessary. THOSE people are at fault. Then again, nobody cares about them so they are all going crazy. What a nice president we have. He JUST left his ranch this morning. How nice of him to FINALLY acknowledge that we have a problem.... Now that is so out of hand that it is 1000000000X harder to handle. I'm ashamed to be an American under Bush. I really am. I hate that man.

I know. I wasn't talking about the cops per-say. I was talking in general about looters. I mean some of them are taking TVs. That is pointless. That is stealing. They don't even have electricity. Taking clothing, food, diapers, meds, etc. That is accpetable since nobody is helping these poor people.

I don't think there's a person in their right mind that would dispute that.

New Orleans has always had a corrupt police department. Once, years ago, they either fired or accepted the resignations of 28 cops and the murder rate dropped 17%.

It takes a critical situation like this to seperate the heros from the dead beat scum of the world. How come all the peeple in all the New Orleans videos are black?

Unfortunately, the racial thing has been far overplayed. New Orleans is actually 64% black. 25% of the city's population lives below the poverty level, and of that 25%, about 20% of those are black. The poorest people are the ones that couldn't get out of the city. So basically, based on simple math, the majority of the people that didn't get out are black......and they happen to be starving, sick, and desperate....so they are looting. It's all so very sad. I hope your retarded president gets his ass in gear before you lose more of your fellow citizens. Hell, I think they got help over to Indonesia faster than to Louisiana.

According to some articles I've read, we did get aid for the Tsunami faster than the 5 days it took to get aid down to N.O.

Some are saying that is due to racism, but I would say it is just general incompetence. After our big earthquake in '93, FEMA was very slow, too.

Can't blame FEMA on this one. FEMA has to be activated by the President. On day one, while still on vacation, our fearless leader was at a dinner in San Diego for his fellow business croonies.

But he was nice enough to flew over New Orleans on Day 3, and he even had the plane fly lower so he could see the devastation better. what a guy!

    That's our leader!!
