That's what I was going to say to you, but then I read the rest of this thread...You fell for it, you got played and you're hanging onto "what if's" and "we'll see", don't do that. She played you, she liked the attention and she liked being liked, but she doesn't like you.
I don't think she will ever realise that she's made a mistake, because she probably doesn't think she has made one, what's to make up for? She was honest with you in the end - she told you why she said what she said and that's that! Move on.
