One of my objectives for the highschool I'm serving this year is to (re)-start a Red Cross club. Which will become one of the 3 branches of an overall Youth Organized for Disaster Action (YODA) club.
I contacted the local Red Cross chapter and they sent me some information.
I must say, I'm excited and intimidated as all hell to be doing this.
I've never been in such a demanding leadership position before.
And considering I'm only 20, I'm only gonna be 2 years older than some of the kids I'm working with.
This year is definitely going to be interesting.

) just becuase you are in a position of authority... I for one was never smart enough to figure out that some of my teaching assistants in hs were only a few years older than I and my classmates and we could totally screw them over; we saw them at a higher position becuase that's how they were presented to us... so I wouldn't be too concerned at all about that
