you still don't get it indi, like i said there is nothing wrong with people sharing their experiences of receiving charity (if they feel inclined) and let me point out there is nothing wrong with the charity organisers themselves sharing stories of receipts of charity altho more apropriate is without mentioning whom they are talking about as it is more understanding for the people they passed the charity on to (ie the needy). indi i am talking about the feelings of the needy. it's not about the people who give. this is my piont of view, like i said, you either get it or you don't.

You don't get it. Nothing happens in a vacuum. There is no recipient without a giver. And there is nothing wrong with a giver receiving praise. Wake the **** up, Eco.

ye indi, thats a good argument...seriously, the needy should just be grateful and be quiet coz other people who are fantastic and wonderful people who feel a lot better than they do deserve this recognition. who gives a toss what they (the needy) actually think no matter how bad they feel about themselves. -nice indi.

That's not what I said, Eco. But its pretty clear you are, as Lesa said, choosing to remain unhappy about this. Instead of being grateful that giving ppl exist, regardless of their reasons.

Anyway, your background with this is shining through. I'm sorry you feel bad about being the recipient of charity. You shouldn't. Most ppl I know have been on the receiving end of something like this somewhere in their family history. Anyone who has emigrated to Canada or the US, esp during wartime, certainly.

Eco, I've forgotten more than you'll ever know in your lifetime.

I understand exactly what you are trying to say. I just think its poorly thought out & comes from your background, which you can't escape for long enough to think logically about.

Sorry you are too stupid to pull your head out of your ass & realize that nobody owes anyone anything in this life. If Bill Gates wants silver plaques everywhere as payment for him donating HIS money all over the world, power to him & I'm still glad he's doing it.

So, I guess that's the end of your incredibly coherent arguments, Eco?

    Thought so.

Come back when you've grown up a bit & thought about things a bit more.

lol sad, it comes down to winning and not the actual discussion, i guess ignorance is really bliss for you, you think you won. this discussion was not about winning. i look forward to what you're about to say about how brilliant you are etc etc etc bla bla. its tiresome and has become hilarious to watch you make a fool of yourself

it was about the feelings of the needy, end of.

I just enjoy making you jump through hoops, Eco. I knew you couldn't stand the idea of losing. Lol, like Starbuck said, its very easily done.
