I mentioned a while back that I was looking to get a motorcycle. Something cheap and entry-level. Possibly used. Kind of bike that won't make me cry if I drop it and won't be a huge waste of money if it's replaced in a year or so.
My first thought was a Honda Rebel.
Laid back. Comfortable. Relaxed. Suits my personality. I'm just worried about the image. Would it make my neck look a little too red if I were caught riding a cruiser? Not that there's anything wrong with that, but, y'know...
On the other hand I could go with a Kawasaki Ninja.
Looks purdy. Bit girlie, perhaps. Doesn't look comfortable to ride at all. Still, those are definitely the bikes of choice in the city amongst fella's near my age. Probably land me more ass than a cruiser methinks.
What do you all think? Probably going to pick one up in another month or so and I'm torn.

I've been thinking about those electric ones that are coming out. No special license required, either. Tho, that might not be a benefit if I want to live around here.

My dad had a honda hawk for a street bike. Bit smaller, but also easier on corners. Ducati is also nice.

The Great Ocean Road would be fantastic by motorbike. But they would have to close it off to cars & lorries before I'd be willing to do it.

Ninja if you're not really planning to start out on that zx10r LOL!
If you mean the Ninja 250r then yeh best bike to start one. I had the 08 model and loved tha tbike. Perfect starter bike. It's not too aggressive either in its riding position. Plus it's got more kick than the rebel.
