Who cares if it's awkward? It's already awkward between you two because apparently he's been under the impression that you're officially dating and you think he's just there for sex.

If you don't want to prolong this anymore than you need to set some boundaries and be the voice of reason in this arrangement. I get that this is your first FB, but now is a good time to learn what the ramifications are in this type of arrangement. Someone tends to get burned.
