    Italian Men

This thread is JUST FOR FUN.

One of guys I'm seeing is Italian. Have experience with Italian guys? Share your expertise.

What should I expect? How do I lure him deeper into my trap? How do I NOT repel him. I like this one, maybe he can end my drought.

Well, you could try acting a little on the "old fashioned" side rather than being too 'out there.' Don't forget I did say "a little"....lol. Being from an Italian background means that a girl that is too liberal is perceived as being tarty so just beware of that. Having said this, I do want to say that there is always the exception to the rule. At the end of the day, just treat him as you would any man that you are keen on. Good luck

one thing I know there is a significant difference between North Italian and Southern Italian who are very very traditional.

Overall Italian men are promiscuous with women. They sort of flirt gently with them, they are touchy feely and like themselves...

I am trying to find something redeeming in this big stereotype...They are protective, love conversation, full of life, confident, enjoy food and wine...

To conclude and as always these are stereotypes and they are a lot of Italian men who would not abide by these traits...

    My advice to you: be elegant and feminine and show that you like it when he takes care of you. But you are probably all these things already;

I realise this advice works for everyone

As an example embrace Monica Belucci credentials and forget the kick ass attitude adopted by certain modern women nowadays...
"Oh I could spend my life having this conversation. Look, please try to understand before one of us dies"

I am with half italian-half french guy. And guys - it's nothing , you should meet their mothers hahahaha
But she cooks good, has good style and is funny, and loud and she's everywhere lol. But anyways, I think you talk about southern italians, they are darker and also their temperament is different than those italians from north My bf's family comes from around Venice. Oh and anyway he's mostly french, the only thing that says he-s italian is that he loves pasta and tomatoe sauce hahaha

Thanks for the advice. I'm already pretty much a traditional girly girl and I'm not too tarty so it should work out fine

I've dated two Italian guys and maybe it was just a coincidence, but they both had some serious double standards going on. Really bossy, controlling, but never answered their phones or told me where they had been.

    It didn't work out.

Best advise I can give you is be yourself. Those who are repelled by your natural personality are those you don't want to associate with. Trust me.
    Don't cry, don't regret and don't blame

Towards the sun, carry your name
In warm hands you are given
Ask the wind for the way
Uncertainty's gone, your path will unravel
Accept all as it is and do not blame

Nope. Most of them aren't native and can't even speak the language.

    @ Raverboy, Touche my friend.

    @ Misha, too true.

@ Giga, thanks for the advice. This guy is really polite and nice. He doesn't seem too possessive. I don't do well with possessive guys
