    Gonna Have Two Female Roommates

(not sure what section to put this in..)

Two female roommates and me living in a decent size house. I'm just moving out of my parents place closer to work and found this highly affordable room (with a bathroom to myself) in a good location. They apparently chose me in the decision making process over a few others, I can't complain but it sounds like a situation that could get awkward if I were too suddenly start something with one of them (or both). Has anyone had an experience like this?

Do you enjoy drama? If not, you will probably be better off dating one of the billions of women who will not be your housemates.

Does that sound too harsh? If things don't work out after you've dated a housemate, how are you going to feel when she brings another guy home with her? Or how will she deal with it, if you start bringing other women around? Drama is a likely outcome.

I generally prefer to avoid drama, but living together under the same roof, sleeping just ten feet away, it will be hard to smother my instincts if they allude to something

There are easier ways to get to know somebody than moving in together as housemates. You can ask them if you want, but they probably picked you because they didn't think you would try to get into a relationship with either of them.

Girls are smart. They probably considered the fact that they would want to live with someone who they feel like they can trust. No offense but I doubt they'd ever opt to live with someone who they were attracted to unless they are gluttons for punishment. That could end horribly. I'd never want to walk around in my grubby jammies around some guy I had the hots for.

I'd consider it cool that they chose you and go into it thinking they are not even females really, just roommates or even sisters. Respect them and they'll respect you. No sexy sexy time with them. Maybe use it as an in to meet their friends, but they need to be off limits.
So, so you think you can tell Heaven from Hell,
    blue skies from pain.
Can you tell a green field from a cold steel rail?
    A smile from a veil?
Do you think you can tell?
And did they get you to trade your heroes for ghosts?
    Hot ashes for trees?
Hot air for a cool breeze?
    Cold comfort for change?
And did you exchange a walk on part in the war for a lead role in a cage?

Thats possible, but they struck me as being a bit immature, the third roommate I've been speaking to whose room I'm moving into said that they were a bit "youthful" for their age (25 and 26)

My other issue is if I were to start dating another girl and she found out I had two female roomates, would she mind?

Also try and pretend for a second that I'm not nerdy, unnattractive or effeminate (cause I'm not, though I wouldn't blame anyone here for thinking that as the scenario)

so lets all picture a scenario were two girls pick an NOT UGLY (maybe attractive?) guy who is not effeminate or socially awkward and they no nothing about him, whats the logic there? Given this have they seriously written this individual off as just like another female, is that even possible? Remember that they had other options

Maybe you were the only potential roommate who hasn't hit on them yet. As an experiment, you could try flirting with both of them before you move in. See if they take back the invite or not. That may tell you what you need to know.

When I was in college i lived in a four bedroom house with a bunch of other girls for a while. At one point we got a male roommate. It didn't work out at all.

Why? Because he became obsessed with me and would have hissie fits when I went on dates or had phone calls from guys. Don't even think about it, erik. You're a roommate, not a potential hookup.

Yeah...I would stop thinking about any porn movies you may have seen with this set up, and realize you will probably hear them fart and smell their post-drinking diarrhea.

I loved having a male room mate, but that was only when I wasn't sleeping with him. Just keep it in your pants, and all should be well.
Relax... I'll need some information first. Just the basic facts - can you show me where it hurts?
