I knew about the opossums, but not the hamsters.

In any case, I don't care. Opossums are nothing more than large rats. I hate rodents. I wouldn't have bashed its head in, but I would have run over it with my car if I thought it were suffering, even though I hate the little bastards.
Relax... I'll need some information first. Just the basic facts - can you show me where it hurts?

If you thought it was already dead, why did you bash its head in with rocks?

Yeah hamsters do it a lot. They lay on the back with straight legs for as long as they feel danger (cats, dogs etc) . It's their natural behaviour that helps them survive in the woods, because if another big animal sees them, it will think that they are dead and will not eat them.
    I wazzzz here

I used to pretend to fall asleep in front of the TV when I was a kid. I liked for my mom to carry me to bed for some reason. I would usually laugh and giggle after she'd picked me up and my mom would say "You better quit playing possum!"

If it has a colloquial saying I think it's safe to say it's common knowledge.

I hate rodents as well. I even hate bunnies because they are little more than rats with fluffy fur and long ears. That doesn't mean I go around bashing them in the head. Gross.

You could have left it alone or called the Humane Society.

I hit a squirrel once in my car, and it didn't die right away. I had to back up and roll over it again... with my kids in the car.

I shot a rattlesnake's head almost clean off. It still tried to bite me. I don't know if it was alive still or signals were jumbling around all over the place. Pretty intense moment.

^^ Typical. That's happened to me on several occasions with rattlesnakes.

Me and my g/f were walking out to her truck.

There was a squirrel running around like a lunatic, and it turns out it's hind leg was broken.

It crawled over to her truck and wedged itself under her front tire like it was ready to be put out of its misery.

As soon as the engine started, though, it scattered.
