Don't get me wrong, if this guy fired a gun in a city he should be behind bars. And if he fired that gun AT someone he shouldn't ever be released. Friend or no friend, when it comes to doling out punishment I don't believe there's a difference between murder and attempted murder.

I've been contemplating his charges for days now and I just can't see any way those could be faked without an obnoxiously unbelievable conspiracy.

So much drama...but...if you decide to go to the court hearing on the 30th, how will you make yourself not recognizable?

It doesn't matter ... Guilty or not, my guess is that he might be in need.. So if you find it in your heart that you can help .. Just act on it..

See this is the mentality that frightens me. You have no clue what happened and youre already vying for punishment for him. What if someone falsy accused him? Accusation is not a conviction.

It's not like he got caught throwing fists in a bar. He's been accused of throwing hot lead in a city AT a police officer. I want him behind bars until he's been judged. And if he's judged guilty I want him put away for a very, very long time.

If he pointed a gun at someone and pulled the trigger, yes, I want him put away for a long time. What kind of sick, ****ed up person would want an attempted murderer to run free? That's almost as ****ed up as pulling the trigger yourself. Whether he's my friend or not makes no difference. Your twisted, evil, ****ed up and utterly disturbing concept of justice is why we have a bunch of rapists and murderers roaming the streets at night while harmless pot smokers rot in jail and innocent lives are shattered. Murder is horrible. Releasing a murderer is very nearly just as horrible. And as far as I'm concerned attempted murderers should be treated no differently than successful murderers. Why the hell would you go easy on someone who TRIED to murder but failed? What the **** is the difference? Okay, so he's slightly less competent. The intent was there, and intent is what should matter. Do we go easy on him so he has another chance? Do we keep going easy until he finally gets it right?

I hope there's some kind of crazy misunderstanding and he's innocent, or at least guilty of a lesser crime.

You guys are missing the IF. That's a biggun. IF he tried to commit murder I hope he's never released from prison. That's unforgivable. IF he didn't attempt to murder I hope he walks out the courtroom a free man or with a punishment suitable to whatever crimes he did commit.

Maybe he was being drunk and stupid and he fired a gun into the air in the middle of College Park. And maybe a cop tackled him, and being a dick cop, claimed my friend tried to shoot him. I would love this to be the story. We'll see. There are a lot of maybes.

Why go easy on the SOB? I say whether hes innocent or not, let's take him out to the courtyard and stone that Motherf*&*@er! Besides, if you were any kind of friend, you'd be in the cell too! This is your wingman, why the hell weren't you around when he was getting into trouble? I'm still waiting to hear what kind of get-up your gonna wear to the hearing...Dress up as Madea...never recognize ya!

Are you stupid? I don't mean that as an insult. Seriously, how low is your IQ? Do you have some sort of debilitating mental illness? What's so difficult about this concept?

I'll try to break it down as simply as possible.

IF my friend is GUILTY of ATTEMPTED MURDER he should be punished severely.

IF my friend is NOT GUILTY of ATTEMPTED MURDER he should not be punished.

CURRENTLY he is SUSPECTED of ATTEMPTED MURDER therefore in the interest of public safety he should be held until his hearing.

    Get it?

Why should he be punished >>IF<< he's guilty? Because he's proven himself to be a danger to society.

Let me give you an example. A man pulls out a gun, aims it at your head and fires. He narrowly misses and then is apprehended by the police. Do you want the officer to take your statement and let the guy go free until the date of the trial or do you want him held for your safety and everyone else's until the trial? Think hard about this scenario.

Well your story sounds hokey to begin with. I very well may be stupid or at the very least suffering a mental breakdown for continuing to come on this thread cuz after all the blah blah blah I hear about your interpretation of the law, I'm still curious as hell to hear about your going incognito. Who care's what you think about me, you so obviously don't seem to care a bunch about a so-called friend of yours...

It would be different if it was a lifelong friend, this dude sounds like he came from out of ****ing nowhere and is apparently a psycho freak. Or i'm just being judgmental...Either way the judges will decide what happens to him

Also people don't just attempt murder...i would do some more searching and see if he has anything else on his record that he never bothered telling you about
