Dilemma

Hello,

I have a dilemma and I don't really know what decision to make. I am in love with my best friend and I don't know whether to tell her or not. She is now in a relationship (1 year) and I was thinking that I might ruin our friendship and everything if I tell her. We told each other lots of times things like "I love you" or "I adore you" but without any serious meaning, we've been something like brother and sister. Another thing that stops me from telling her what I really feel is that I am studying abroad. She told me lots of times that she misses me a lot, that she wants me to come home and I made her a surprise by coming home on her birthday. She was very happy, but I quite upset because even if I would tell her what I want and everything would be just like I want, it would be a long distance relationship and I don't want to make her go through that... What do you think I should do?

I know, I don't mean to do that. My problem is that I don't know if I should tell her or not and let her make a decision.
