Yeah. Are you planning on driving seperate, as in meeting at the theater? Or is he going to pick you up? If he picks you up make sure he doesn't try to finangle you into going out for drinks then being "too buzzed up to drive back to his house" and wanting to stay at yours. I just don't see it working. From the get-go you have said you are not comfortable around him. Its one thing to have butterflies or be nervous (the good kind) but this is a different type of nervous. He seems to have no respect for boundaries.
So, so you think you can tell Heaven from Hell,
    blue skies from pain.
Can you tell a green field from a cold steel rail?
    A smile from a veil?
Do you think you can tell?
And did they get you to trade your heroes for ghosts?
    Hot ashes for trees?
Hot air for a cool breeze?
    Cold comfort for change?
And did you exchange a walk on part in the war for a lead role in a cage?

DVD = Sex!?.. well i've been grossly misinformed... damn it, i knew this one girl was sending me signals.

Or have plans to do so at a later point....that night.

There are so many of these stories floating around here - I feel like a minority by acting appropriately when I date.

ha! Ha! Guess what, after many hours later he texted me back saying he checked the review of KILLERS and it's only 3 out of 10. Honestly when I want to watch a movie I go with my guts feeling, not on critics. But whatever so i replied to him say we can watch other types of comedy and he replied he will look into it and no more text afterwards.

But, after he told me he wants to drop by to watch DVD with me...that already turned me off. I cannot, still, assume he really has bad intention, just yet but..WHO will go to a girl's house on second date??? if it's not the bad intention, then what? We are not friends..we barely know each other.

To: "all alone" hehe did you missed your "luck"?

Someone who doesn't know much about social interactions would. I never thought going to anyone's house was meant to be for sex, I guess I've been invited to have sex and invited people to have sex in my house a few times and I didn't even notice.

Well you would find that lots of guys would be up for coming to watch a dvd at your place and if they got the opportunity.

The thing is and even if you had gone along with his idea of the dvd at your place and he was hoping sex might happen, just because he may be expecting it doesn't mean it has to happen and you still have the option to say 'NO' to him and if he tried any funny business. ...then throw him out

If women can't trust themselves not to open their legs, then you would be wise to avoid the home.

Perhaps it would be sensible to avoid the home with a strange guy anyway. He could be anybody and could walk off with half of your jewellrey or steal valuable stuff and without you knowing.

Personally, i think this guy is trying to get into your pants. I could be wrong, but if i was interested in a girl i wouldnve care if the movie was 1/10, I probably wouldnt even check. I'd endure the crappest movie in history just to spend time with her.

    why

OK, just an update. Got 2x miss calls from him today. The date. Then 30 mins later I called back and he asked me if I usually do hangout on week nites? Coz he is changing his work schedule in JULY to get 4 days off on week nites and work entire weekend. Then he started talking about other movies we should watch instead of KILLERS.

I really wonder why would he care if I usually do hangout on week nites? Coz he is changing his work schedule in JULY. Dude, it's JUNE now.

Oh BTW, he called again at 11pm and we chat and he finally set a date for movie. He asked my suggestion so I replied let's do Friday after my work. I will meet him at the box office. "You sure you don't want me to pick u up?" He asked...

Sigh, he keeps wanting to pick me up

What is wrong with him picking you up?

If some guy offered to pick me up, I'd think that he was being thoughtful. He's saving you the walk, or the train fare - making it easier for you to get there and perhaps he wants to escort you there.

Perhaps he wants to pick you up and because he'd like to chat with you, get to know you further and before the movie. After all, you can't talk and exactly get to know someone with a movie blasting in your ears can you?

    Hi xxazurexx

I don't mind but I mind now coz of his initial request of dropping by for movie or asking me to go his house for movie on 2nd date. I just feel not so comfortable yet. He did say he wants to grab some drink this Friday movie night out so he says it's good for him to pick me up so I don't get DUI.

But I don't know him well enough to be sure if he is sincere about that he said, maybe if he still stick around after this Friday, I can tell his sincerity. I just want to make sure his main goal is not "get into my pants" and leave. Of course I can always say no if he is acting funny but I try to avoid awkward situation to happen.

    Hello All,

Can I ask one more question about dating, please? Like I said I am very inexperience and shy too. Generally speaking when you guys go on a date do you allow your dates to kiss you? I am saying first few dates, getting to know him, a stranger. French kiss? Is it really rude to say NO or refused if he wants to French kiss? I just prefer doing this and sex with my BF.

If he goes for the kiss and you're not comfy just turn you cheek and point there. Smile and say something like you don't kidd on the first date.

Edit: my mother always told me not to accept rides too early in getting to know someone for safety reasons. You don't know them and they'll know right away where you live... (what if he's crazy or some shit...)

So he was planning on picking you up, grabbing some drink...so he'd be driving under the influence of alcohol? The chances are, is that he'd pick you up, go see the movie, pick up drink and then he would take you back to his place....or at least that may be 'his' plan. Just play it safe and make your own arrangements for getting there and returning back home.

Also just do what you feel comfortable with. I have kissed a guy on the first few meetings, but not kiss as in have my tongue down his throat

    Dates

Thanks girl68 I think you got a very good way. And it sounds like if I do like you said, it won't b too awkward, or rude right??

Yea Imma do that IF and only IF he want to have french kiss. No way! Too early.

And xxazurexx, that is why I don't feel comfy riding with him. Hard for me to "escape" if I need to, later hehehe!

Somehow I canot feel he is sincere, well see how...only dated once with him. Thanks yawl!
