La Clica
Nosotros

La Clica has disbanded, but probably nobody in this forum would have heard of my bands anyway. La Clica was a Rock (in Spanish) band and Nosotros are like a ...I'm not sure how to define them..tripical?? I don't know, but they are pretty well known in New Mexico. They have a website, I think.

Everyone here seems to be going towards the emo so I'll give you one that takes emo to another level.

Lovedrug

They're out of Cleveland and released their first album this summer. They are on The Militia Group. Heck, just go to the Militia Group website and check out all their bands. Make sure you go to Militia Group and not Militia Records - completely different labels.

i know nosotros. they are fun. they're always playing around town. i like soda estereo, for rock en espanol.

jeff buckley
morphine

those are a couple of my favorite lesser known musicians. both singers are dead though. mark sandman of morphine died of a heart attack on stage, probably on drugs. jeff died swimming in the mississippi river. saaaaaaaaaad.

Some lesser known bands i like would have to be Chevelle, great band but not very well known. Then there is a couple of Australian bands, Sunk Loto and Devolved, both excellent metal bands as well as Chevelle. The you can go down to the local scene and Karnival are an awesome band that keep winning all the local contests and get to tour with all the big bands that come to Australia, deffinately not main stream.

I meet the base player of Blind Guardian when they oppened up for Petra. I actually bought tickets to the show but lots of free tickets were given away on the day of the show. Had numerous people offering me free tickets. Had to leave to go to work as I was working 10PM to 6AM. While I was leaving I ran into the base player for Blind Guardian.

More known rockers I've meet are Uriah Heep, and Jeff Pilson(sp? of Docken fame?) when he was with Dio. Already posted a post about my two favorite local bands www.youcallthat-art.com and www.benparkdrive.com before I saw this thread.
