Try a new hobby instead of going to the gym since its already hard. I was in a similar situation and I loved going to the gym , but the issue is that at the gym you can sit and do weights but you still consistently think so I decided to start a new hobby, which involved releasing stress because I personally don't believe in psychologists and all that because you don't know the individual.
The hobby I started to do was kickboxing because its a great way to get in shape and it's and amazing stress releaser. I almost felt like a new person after each class. This eventually led me to start itf taekwondo, which has changed me enormously as a person and I couldn't be happier!!!![]()
