i miss martini's. they are my favorite.

i like mine dirty with vodka, gin, and a splash of vermouth. stirred, not shaken. the olives are preferably stuffed with garlic.

Yeah, in my vodka-drinking days, I learned that the only way to drink it is straight out of the bottle. You get to passing-out drunk quicker when you don't fool around with all that double-handling from bottle to glass to mouth.

Anyway, you don't list my favorite brand: Today's Special (used to run around $9.00 per gallon, but I expect that the price is up now).

The Polish friends I made in Germany brought Belvedere to my going away party. It was pretty good. I also like Stolis. I don't drink a lot of hard liquor though.

I had 3 pitchers yesterday of MGD and all I did was piss all night. Didn't even buzz at all. Svedka is popular here as well. You have to drink the right amount of drinks to get that buzz and don't step over.
Well, that's why I took it without mixers. The beer, mixed drinks and bailey's before that did absolutely nothing.

It's because alcohol purges your system of water, its the starting step of dying from dehydration.

The reason you get a hangover is actually because your body is use to the alcohol in your system, so when you stop drinking its sort of a short withdrawal. The headache, sensitivity to light and noise are caused because the blood vessels in your brain constrict.

The absolute best cure for a hangover outside of greasy food is a beer or something light on alcohol content, but with at least some. It weans your body off the alcohol rather than a full system dumping.

My favorite Vodka's are 44 North, Grey Goose, Skyy, Absolute, and Smirnoff. I wouldn't serve those as a house vodka, too expensive in that kind of amount.

You can get something cheap and run it through a Brita filter, it's ghetto, but it doesn't help the taste. Another fun thing is to get cheap vodka and let fruit soak in it overnight. That will mess you up faster than anything I have had outside of Absinthe.

If you want a good Vodka with nice authentic taste go for Russian Standard

I actually don't like the taste of straight vodka. It sure does make a great Caesar though. Caesar's are like bloody marys.....but a whole lot better.

Straight genuine mexican tequila or mezcal (sp?) is actually pretty awesome, and the only thing I like straight. I had some in this dingy little bar across the Arizona border last year and it tasted like liquid sunshine. The mass produced tequila they sell in North america is terrible. It makes me gag.
