Honestly, maybe it's just me, but when you said he went away for a competition and came back with that convo, I actually wondered if he had heard something about your ex and used his ex as an excuse. Actually so far it is only me and I am known for jumping to conclusions. Is his ex also into salsa?

His ex is not in the salsa scene at all...

But my ex is.. (well sort of.. he goes to the clubs but he's not a pro dancer.. so he wasn't at the competition but he knows a lot of people from the scene)

I just remembered that at some point throughout all the texting he asked me if I speak fluent Spanish (we're both Spanish) and I said yes and he said: wow I'm impressed. Now I like you even more.

wtf this guy is messed up.. I think I'm just going to deleate his number.. my gut was honestly telling me that he had some sort of "final fight" with his ex and his feelings came back and I don't ned to be his rebound after how much I suffered getting over my ex..

Not sure what brought up the wierd texts, but, about the flipping the coin, he may just want to spend time with you as a friend and then see if he can move forward, don't jump to conclusions, if you like this guy then try the friend thing for a while, mabye a wee bit of flirting, see how he reacts

Maybe, since you're both in the same scene, he thoughtyou might hear rumors about this other girl? He was just spelling things out to you.

Personally though....he's just a kid. Find a guy older. This based on experience and your age
