Are those Italian Cypress trees? They are nice, but I never see anything growing well underneath them but grass. I think you should get someone professional to come and help you.
Relax... I'll need some information first. Just the basic facts - can you show me where it hurts?

Then wear a short skirt and ask your neighbor's gardener what he would plant.

i would plant some sedum or creeping thyme around those steps as some ground cover that could take some getting stepped on.

i got this book called boots, shoots, buckets, and boots. it's all about gardening with kids and it has great ideas. i recommend it.

i have 3 of those italian cypress trees in my backyard. i love them there are a ton of bird nests in them. you could put some daisies and lilies and sunflowers under them they look really pretty.

i'm jealous of your climate by the way. you could really plant anything. i would kill to be able to grow a citrus tree here in desert land.

the cypress trees are all around, i must take a pic tomorrow to share. i am guessing they were planted to support the land from mudslides and to prevent my uphill neighbors from sliding into us

That's a hydrangea growing in front of your blue sign. Its cut back, but you have to do that from time to time. Throw some coffee grounds on it. Also, you soil looks like it could use some manure turned into it. We did this for 3 years and things grow great now.

    I live in central London.

Only the Queen can afford a garden here.

I think she calls it St James' Park. In fact, she also owns Green Park, Regents' Park and Hyde Park.

    I sometimes trespass.
