Laguna, now you know what people mean when they say Americans are arrogant. The US would not be where it is today without foreign born scientists and inventors. People that moved here to escape the tyranny of their previous governments. Our current administration is an embarrassment. The education system in this country is one of the worst in the world for a developed nation. Our government is divided into 2 parties, the warmongering republicans and the socialist democrats, both of which I hate. The citizens of this country have had it so easy for so long, that companies are shipping even skilled work overseas rather than deal with the pussy, cry baby, over paid American workers. As a history buff, you should know that the US will not always be a superpower. The US will fall just like every other Empire in the history of the world.

And a lot of Americans agree, that we are doing very little "right" at the moment. The problems we had from Y2k through 9/11 and after was accual considered a Depression, but because we were better equipt for such a problem, we made it through. But it was not a fun time for anyone.

I pretty much agree, and I hate to say it. I doubt the US will ever truly fall though, our system somehow saves our ass everytime we get into a deep hole. That being said, I'm not very fond of the Social Secrity issues at hand, be interesting to see how they handle this. The house has been arguing over it long enough since Bush was re-elected.
