Well, I like this girl a lot, she likes me a lot but she won't go out with me because she doesn't want to see me sad or hurt because of her. She thinks because she made me sad a few times in the past that she will again. I want to take that risk but she feels it's too great of a risk. What should I do? I don't ever want to give up on her.

It sounds like she is saying that because she knows she is not really into you. This is simply her way of nicely saying that she doesn't want to date you.

Maybe she isnt into you but you dont give us much to go on, ok she made you sad how?To be honest i would want to know why she thinks she makes me sad and i wouldnt just take it on that sentence you have got how do you know she doesnt have a low self esteem and is told she's can make anyone happy.
You need to talk to her and find out what she means with that cloaked sentenced.Maybe others dont agree but i would like to look at both possibilities for this answer. If she isnt into you then whatever move on you will like a lot of people in your life but if she is saying this for another reason wouldnt you want to know now instead of later thinking what did that answer really mean.
