that recipe that is so easy to make!

Guys (I'm wondering how many men will post something on this thread )

I thought I would ask you all about your specialty recipe, something you'vre very proud cooking and that your friends are impressed with.

It must be easy and quick to make. Here is mine, it's called Clafoutis. It's an uncomplicated pie usually made with sherries that should look like this:

http://www.food-info.net/images/clafoutis.jpg

Here is the recipe:

All you need is to mix the following:

-90 g = 3.17465 oz of FLOUR
-2 eggs
-90 g = 3.17465 oz of SUGAR
-50 g = 1.76369 oz of BUTTER (to be melt in micro wave first)
-some vanilla extract (or whatever vanilla favour that you use), quantity to your liking.
-0.25 litres = 8.3333333333333 fl.oz.of MILK

and to add to it about 350 g (12.3458 oz) of stoned sherries.

Put that in the oven for 45 mn (220 V)...

I hope you try it and enjoy it!!!

I just did it 30 mins ago, my housemates were very approving of it, and it's simple as. Though it's a dessert, not a meal in itself.

Pick up a fair amount of random fruits - kiwis, bananas and strawberries work exceptionally well, apples and pears are quite alright, avoid oranges and mandarins.
Chop 'em all up.
Grate a full block (or two if you feel like it) of white chocolate.
Use a last piece of chocolate to smear across a deep oven baking tray or something similar that is oven-friendly.
Layer the fruits however you want to, sprinkle a generous layer of white chocolate across each layer.
Chuck into the oven 'til it turns a bit mushy and becoming a bit light-brown.

Serve with ice cream. Nom nom nom.

I currently have a very large bowl next to me, bottom half is the gino and top half is vanilla ice-cream. Days like these when I love my wack metabolism, I'll eat anything of any amount as long as it tastes good.

Cornmeal crepes and mushroom ragout. It's good. It's obscenely good. Like, it's so good, whenever I invite a new girl over I always cook it, even if she tells me she hates mushrooms. If I make it for a girl she will be in my bed.

(NOTE: I leave the egg out of mine)

Little flour, little cornmeal, an egg--mix it up with some salt. Throw it in a buttered pan. Baddaboom, baddabing. You got crepes. Saute some mushrooms. Throw in a little tomato paste, a little sour cream. You got mushroom ragout. Fill the crepes. Plop a dab of cream on top. She'll need a change of panties before she's done her second bite, it's so goddamn good. One of those dishes that you just have to try. Doesn't really taste like mushrooms at all. Or tomatoes, really. It tastes like awesome wrapped in crepes.

Looks delicious and what a clever of merging both food and the major theme of the forum...

Cooking is fun.. even more fun if you do it with your other half... LOL.

most of the dishes are pretty simple & in chinese style..

eg. vege with oyster sauce, dried prawns etc

more to learn
