well there is this girl on my school that i like a lot... and i can tell she has a soft spot for me but i "heard" she has a boyfriend... this has been driving me insane for about 2 weeks, and i have no idea what the hell to do

Why don't you talk to her, get to know her a bit, and then ASK her if she has a boyfriend? If she says no, you can ask her out, and if she says yes, you can tell her to keep you in mind if/when she beaks up with him.
