3 years down the drain

New to these forums. I just joined up.
A few nights ago I left my (ex)fiance.
I moved 500 miles away. I feel like a fool. For the past 2 years I've been walking around with a dumb smile on my face, flashing my ring and waiting to plan a wedding.
I found out he's still married to someone else, he's never gotten divorced.
He seemed to have no intentions of getting the divorce handled, even though he hasn't spoken to or seen this "wife" in 7 years.
Then, he finally came clean, he didn't want to marry me, he didn't want to buy me a ring either. WTF.
I keep telling myself this isn't about me, that he's the one with the problem.
But, why on earth wasn't I good enough? That's how I feel, like I'm just not good enough.

This is one of those cases where I really must say--I certainly hope you kept that jerk's diamond. He owes you that much at least.

And not all men are 100% scum, I swear. *cough* I'm placing big emphasis on that percentage.

I guess it's because after awhile...especially when you have someone who simply won't tell you what the problem is...you start to imagine stuff. The scenarios work their way around you brain and it's goes wild.

People will always blame themselves in these types of situations, but as Gigabitch said its not you. Altho it is a little your fault that you could have found out a little bit more about his past relationship or marriage. Atleast now you have learned a valuable lesson (I hope so atleast)
