Any idea for a love Christmas present?

Hello!! My name is Chris and i'm from Sweden.

I'm looking for a original gift to give to my husband for christmas. I have found this two:

    - sandmessage.com
They write to you a message on the mediterranean sea

    - starregistry.com
They give to you and star

    What is your opinion?

If you have any other good ideas please tell me!!!!!

    Kisses

I don't think a man would go for either one... they are both too sappy.
Relax... I'll need some information first. Just the basic facts - can you show me where it hurts?

I guess it depends on what your husband is like. My man is all mushy like a girl. Vashti's husband clearly isn't.

We were given a star named after us as a wedding gift, cool as hell! We loved it. Its personal and fun.

It really depends on what he's into. You dont want to give him a gold bracelet with I love you inscribed in it if he doesnt wear jewerly. just think about what he likes!

Nah, it probably isn't my husband that isn't mushy - it's ME. I am mush-challenged. It just seems to me that rather than waste my money on something intangible for a fleeting feel-good moment, I'd rather give it to a charitable cause so it actually did some good. I am ultimately very practical.

But you and squirrely are right... it probably depends on the man.

I guess one only thinks it personal if they don't realize that stars are sometimes re-used by certain companies and no one ever uses or knows the name "assigned" to it. >>

Heck, you could print out a piece of paper with the same information, renaming some random star you capture with your digital camera after a dead dog. And you wouldn't lose money that way, either. Well, maybe for the piece of paper. Throw in a book on astronomy and it's still cheaper. XD Sorry, that's one of the things that I've a decently strong opinion on, actually.

And I'm kind of iffy on whether a guy would appreciate either of those, really. All the guys I know like material goods, something useful. XD; But you know your husband better than we do, so have at it.

hmm I have missed lot.the christmas phase is coming.oh god.besides moonchild is right on the star thing my family had a star named after them and now we find it isnt actually there.besides why does the company have the right to "sell" tht to you.its a ridiculous idea.give him something he will actually like .personally I think both ideas are a waste of money. [= good luck with finding anything good though.

I can assure you that the star registry is a huge scam. They don't actually get to name stars. You pay 50+ bucks, they send you a little card that says such and such star has been named after your loved one, but it's total bull. If you're just looking to throw money away give it to a good charity, not a bunch of con artists.

The star we have is awesome. There are like what billions trillions of stars out there right? Ok some company and whomever started this business, Im at the trailer but will get the info tonight. We didnt get just a card.

They send you a map of the system first of all. They do name a star after you. Its typed up pretty damn cool, and they give you all of this info about your star and its coordinates that show you on the map. It is so amazing.

I will get the info and post it on here today. Im doing it for my nephews for Christmas.

Kristen has a star named after her thanks to an unsuccesful wooing attempt before I was on the scene. I think it's a pretty cool idea, actually.
