I floss probably 5 times a week. If it makes you feel better, though, I don't think I started doing it regularly until I was in my early 20s.
Relax... I'll need some information first. Just the basic facts - can you show me where it hurts?

That's disgusting, OV. Don't tell any girls you are interested in about this, or they will never want to kiss you.

As a scientist-guy, I am surprised you would allow all those organisms to live in your teeth. Yuck.

As a scientist-guy, OV probably appreciates the massive role the little buggers play in keeping us alive. They actually make up a significant portion of our body mass.

Actually flossing is extremely over-rated. It originally is supposed to do nothing but pull stuck piece of food from between your teeth. How can a piece of string kill germs? Bah, nothing tooth past with a brush + mouth wash can't do.

That is true, but only if you have big old gaps between your teeth like an Appalacian.

Cavities and gum disease aside, poor dental care leads to periodontis, which leads to coronary heart disease. Poor dental care is also associated with pneumonia. You are gonna be one sick old guy one day, and your teeth are going to fall out like a five year old's. Of course, by the time they fall out, you will be happy they did because you will have suffered through a lot of pain by then.

You only have to floss the ones you want to keep.

I once went 8 years without seeing a dentist and got a Grade-A perfect checkup when I finally went back. Why? Flossing regularly.

Here, I'll just sweep that right into the bag of shitty things to come in my life. I have already gone through a lot of tooth pain. The worst one was the tooth where I actually had a root canal done. I don't care anymore, I have two huge holes in my left bottom of the mouth...at least they don't hurt.
