I'm stuck .. ]:

I started talking to this guy during Spring Break of 2008, and we
talked eversince the end of the summer. We talked for about 5
months, and I really started to "like like" him. In between that time
he would always comment me, msg me, text me, and IM me, every
single day. Each day I'd anticipate seeing a text or IM from him
every morning ..

But, after the summer ended and school started we barely talked.
We ended up not talking eversince then. I slowly started to get
over him .. even tho I had developed very strong feelings for him.
But, a few months after the schoolyear started I saw him at a
event where all the schools in my district come watch performances
and dance .. and when I saw him, aaaaaaall the feelings came
back.

Now, I currently have a boyfriend and I love him alot .. but, I still
find myself thinking about that other guy who "got away". I know
that he's talking to a new girl now, and he seems pretty happy. But,
don't get me wrong .. I am happy myself also.

I just need to find ways to really forget about him, and
what we "almost" had. Has anyone ever had this kind of situation
happen to them?

Anyone help? Thanks in advance!

I am not the oldest person in this forum but I already learned from my short life that things change, often they change too fast for you... you just have to be flexible and learn to live with the changes.

How this applies to you? This guy you are thinking of is a thing from your past which you still carry, you will learn to get used to it and drop it more easily

bNs, I don't see why you should forget him completely. it could still happen, someday. Just tell yourself you weren't ready for each other and that someday you'll meet again. That will make it seem less traumatic to just let him drift away. It's bothering you because you feel anxious about it. Just tell yourself that if it's meant to happen, it will, and go about your business.

Life is full of what if's... What if i went to college after high school? i could be rich and having a great time. OR i could have died in a horrible car accident on the way to orientation.

Take a note from the optimistic types out there, "You are where you're suppose to be, doing exactly what your suppose to do". Don't forget about the guy, if your happy don't screw that up.

I know what you mean. I've been there too. But try to appreciate what you do have. It's great to have good memories with the other guy. If you really want things to work out with the guy you are with now, just focus on how much he cares about you. That is much better than the guy who stopped texting you or contacting you!!!
