Should I continue to wait? Or assume the worst?

A couple of weeks ago I met this girl who I thought was great. We got along nicely and I invited her out to dinner last week. I thought the night went well in my opinion. Since it was our first time going out I didn't go in for a kiss or anything (besides, I could see that the girl wasn't the type that liked to rush into relationships), but we did hug at the end as we parted ways.

Now I tried asking her out again not too long ago and she said that she had a lot of things to do but that she would let me know when she's free. Being a busy person myself I understood what it means to prioritize and have lots of things going on in one's life, so I was pretty much cool about it. This was several days ago...

Present time. Still no word from the girl. I'm able to keep myself busy so it's not like I'm always thinking about her, don't get me wrong, but during the odd moments in which I'm bored or have nothing to do I honestly do wonder what she's up to and whether or not she's still interested in spending time with me. This is why I'm posting... because I'd like to know if I should call her up again and ask if she's still up for another night out, or whether I should just wait for her message? (Afterall, I would think the ball's in her court now...)

There is an old proverb, if you want an answer, you have to ask the question. IMHO if I wanted to go out again with her, I would ask her out again, if you still get the stall, how about coffee or something. In my experience if there is a desire there will be a way.
