What if I cut my hair and wear a leather jacket and sunglasses will that make girls like me ?
Maybe I need to appear more manly ? What sort of things do girls look for.
Also is it weird to just approach girls.... what if I go to a bar by myself or with 2 friends ???

hi George, although u need to look presentable, that doesnt mean it is everything.
people should like you for who you are not what you can buy or wear.
remember this and have confidence. You need not make knowing new people like a job, instead be natural. Join hobby clubs etc

Yeah just be who you are, if you want a new look go for it. Explore yourself, there's no harm which can come from that. Women are attracted to confidence, but you can only gain that if you know who you are.
