What are you doing for New Years?

Who, What, When, Where and Why?

    When: On New Years Eve
With Who: No one. I'll be alone. OoOo Scary!
Doing What: Probably watching television, on the comp and relaxing.
Where: In the coziness of my home.
Why: Because I just want to be alone. Think and just Relax. Can't get enough of that.

I spend countdown with my family every year ... because the first people I want to see each year are my loved ones.

Going downtown, going to pay expensive cover charges, going to drink, then its up in the air.

Our downstairs neighbors in our apartment building are having a party. We are getting booze and Prosecco and ordering a bunch of pizzas. There is also talk of the whole party walking over to the park where there's a big fireworks display before midnight, but I think it's going to be too cold.

I love house parties on New Year's Eve because going out anywhere in the city on that night is a nightmare. Every place is packed and there are no cabs anywhere.

Few close friends, pizza and beer. I'm the only single one, kind sad isn't it ?

I would go to some big party and have sex and take drugs, but I don't know of any.

Every year I have the same dilemma.... we are invited to 2 parties, and we never go to the one I want.

The one we go to is given by one of my best friends. There isn't really any drinking going on (unless you count wine-laced punch), which is unfortunate since they pick a new theme every year, and make us dress in ridiculous costumes, and the alcohol would make me feel less ridiculous. This year is a pirate-themed murder mystery. (I am not going to be a pirate, but rather fortune hunting woman from the 1600s.)

Other years have been more humiliating. (The square-dancing cowgirl comes to mind.)

Anyway, the good thing about the party is that there are a ton of young people there, with dancing and music. The bad part is not getting to dress up and the minimal alcohol.

I also get invited to another friend's party every year - an honest to goodness grown up party with alcohol and pretty clothes, but I am out-voted every year.

^^I want to go to that pirate wench party. It sounds like fun.

Vash, do all the people dress up? I always want to throw themed costume parties, but the problem is, I can never get my too-cool NYC types to forgo their monochromatic clothing for the night and put on something outrageous. Even on Halloween, hardly anyone dressed up for my party this year. I guess I don't mind looking ridiculous.

Yes, pretty much everyone dresses up. Of course, they have a huge family, so they don't have any issues about being silly in front of one another.

I actually like my costume this year.
