Here it is:
I walk into the front entrance of a gym (but for simplicities sake it could be many public places) and between me and the door is a 15 foot walk to the front counter. Behind the front counter is a girl standing there by the walkway that leads into the gym's and change rooms. Keep in mind that she has shown quite a few subtle signs of being interested in me, but I wont get into that now. This is how the conversation starts as I walk past her:
Me: Hey/hello/whats up?
Her: Hi, how are ya? (she always says this)
Me: I'm alright/good/not bad
Where should I go from here? Such a simple ****ing question I know, but I just can't extend the conversation as I walk towards and past her (about half the time there is someone behind me). A while back I responded by saying "I'm good, how are you doing?", she said something along the lines of "meh, okay I guess" with a smile on her face. I said "just okay" as I continued to walk by and the smile widened as she turned around and looked at me and said something like "I suppose" and then started to laugh. The point is that I've tried the obvious next question, its been done already
