Communication should be an ongoing priority in the relationship. But anybody can say "I love you" without meaning it. See, I just did it, and I don't even know you. Some people are very loving but just aren't comfortable saying the words all the time. They show their love in other ways, like working hard to take care of their loved ones.

yer he works hard, but not to take care of me, he spends all his money on cars and stuff, whenever i ask him can we go out somewhere or do something he just goes aww i got no money then the next day hes spending hundreds on car parts

well his working shouldnt be an excuse to be honest because he makes the effort and can be bothered if its something he wants to do... for example on the weekend i mentioned going to the cinema or something and he said he couldnt be bothered and didnt have any money, then an hour later he decided he was going drive 3 and half hours across the country to pick up a car, then on the way back he saw some of his mates so he decided to stay out till stupid o'clock in the morning messing around with them.
