Taking it slowly?

I've know this girl for a few weeks now, and like her a lot. When I brought up the subject of relationships, recently, she said she'd like to take things slowly, and become friends first.

While I have all the time in the world, as long as I think it's going somewhere, it reminds me too much of when girls have said "let's just be friends" to me, in the past. Does it sound like it's going ok? I'm confused!

Without knowing any more, it's hard to tell. Perhaps you could take the risk of asking her if she's interested in more than friendship, with the knowledge that she may well say no. But hey, if that happens, at least you'll have eliminated the uncertainty.
