Is my love wrong ?

I really need help guys. I don't know if I should put this in broken heart topic or what so I put it here.
It's about a girl - my friend - my dance partner. I have posted before about it. I told her my feeling. She liked me too and instead of playing cool like many of you told me too. I didn't do that. It was somehow hard for me. She broke up with her boyfriend . Yes she did but he cried, he asked for a chance. I did everything to keep her from doing it. I planed, did many tricks. When we decided to meet him, he suddenly called her and told her he wouldn't followed her anymore and wanted her to be happy. That was when she felt terrible and continued to text, talk to him and they did it when she was my love. Yesterday, I saw her wear his ring. I asked her calmly if she could forget him, move on and love me with all her heart. I was a little bit pushing her and she said no then broke up with me. I cried for a girl for the very first time... I knew she would break up with me if I asked her that question but I still did it. I was so stupid and I regret it now. She's gone and I don't know what to do.
I'm in pain...
I don't want to be hurt but I still want her back. I want her so bad although I know all left for me is tears.
Please tell me what should I do

Give it time and space. she may come to realise this other guy isn't everything she'd hoped... Give it a month or two then see how you go. Good luck.

she said she would think about it and she wants to have time, want me to wait. She spends her time with her friends now. If I wait shall I be hurt even more ?
