    Get a magic wand.

No one can help you with that kind of detail, you need to tell exactly why the computer is crashed and why you can't access the hard drive if you expect any help. Also, didn't you work on IT?

It may be possible to recover the files if you can access it from another boot drive

Have you installed a new hard drive and reinstalled the Operating System? If you have, it MIGHT be possible to access the files if you connect the old drive through the other hard drive through the unused HD cable, or put it in an external case.

Oh wait... crap... how to explain jumpers?

I've been doing it for years, without any formation for IT.

If she didn't download all that child pornography then her computer would not have crashed.

Ugh. Really sonrisa, telling you how to recover data without having a clue why your computer crashed is like making lottery predictions. It just won't work. Depending on what's wrong with it, some things would work and others won't.

You're going to be best off taking your hard drive to a specialist who thoroughly understands hard drive forensics. You're much more likely to break something in the process of learning how to recover data.

Let me get this straight - you're paying $2,000 for data recovery?

Shut the fuck up. She's paying $2,000 instead of however much it would cost to lose those documents.

Anyway, it's better than paying $200 for porn.

yeah, since i am in collections the A/R on the hard drive is $3,391,861.98 to be exact, so 2k is nothing in this case. however if they don't recover it, then i am ****ed
