is it possible to get someone to like you? without stinking of desperation

If you've read my previous thread you'll be aware that I split up with my girlfriend 2 weeks ago. In the thread I have been babbling on how i still hold hope that one day we can regain communications.

However, i recently asked another girl out on a date and she said 'yes' which was a huge relief due to the fact that my self confidence is low. However she is due to go on holiday this week for a week so we said we'll sort something when she returns home.

This girl is hot, i've liked her all through college but she's always been with someone else. During this time she said that if she wasn't with someone else things would be different.

To cut a long story short she is now single. But although she's agreed to me taking her out on a date i'm still getting itchy feet that it won't happen. And now i'm finding myself texting her first and even replying to her one word responses.

Do you think that this behaviour has something to do with my recent break up? I don't want to come across as desperate.

    Thanks once again

You're dealing with insecurity... that's tough.

Try to limit your responses to what's reasonable. I know that's hard.
