Little and simple things to help catch your exs heart

Okies am not talking the obvious here such as poems, love letters etc. Last week my best friend decide to talk to his Ex (my friend) in a nightclub for the first time since their break up one year exact to that day. Whilst he was talking to her he pointed out a hair tie he wore on his wrist; he stated it was hers and hasn't taken it off since the break up 1 year. You could see her well up and it grabbed her heart; what I want to know is what things have you guys done to catch your Exs heart?
