All I can say is this, I never got a girl friend to become a girlfriend.

I think the key is finding someone with the same interest as you and going from there. It's a lot harder to make a relationship out of a friendship when you have nothing pulling you together. Mutual attraction plus common interest as well as wanting the same things out of life. There is someone out there that's like you, no matter how hard it might seem to find them. Take it from me I'm an over weight, smarty pants geek who found some one who is only attracted to over weight and smart people, on top of being a geek them selves.
