Need good ideas for 1st date with my best friend

Hi everyone. I'm looking for some advice for how to make a great and romantic date with my best friend. She and I are very close and have known each other for a many years. For a long time now I have been wanting to take our relationship to the next level, and recently asked her to go out with me and she agreed.

We're supposed to go out later this week, but I'm still trying to figure out where to take her and what to do on our date. The reason is that I want to somehow try to do something different. As close friends, we're already used to doing things that couples do - we go out to dinner together, to movies, to parks, etc... I want to make our date somehow different and special, and spark some romance, but not sure how to go about it.

That's a hard one ... simply because surely you know her better than anyone else!

What does she like?

To start, think of location / activity / time / meal ...

Try and do something you know she likes, or would like to do, but hasn't done or tried yet.

Might be easy to write down a list and then wittle it down to a few possibilities.

Nothing wrong with running them by her and then agreeing to something, unless of course you really want to surprise her.

Dress to the nines, and pretend to be married then go test drive really expensive cars.

Or

Drive somewhere unknown, and have dinner. With fake names/identities.

Or

Go to a restaurant and ask the cook to create something entirely new for you.

Or

Spend the night at the beach and wait for the sunrise.

These are fun things I would do.

I did actually. A friend posted the ideas. I would do them, because who actually does that? Not many people. I'm not one for regular.

Those are actually some of the best date ideas Ive ever heard of! Touche!


My Girlfriend and me went to the horse races on out first date. Its all about getting to know the person. Not that I go to the races alot but if a girl found that to be a bad idea, shes not the girl for me.

I think Ive come up with some ideas that I will pick from based on the time and whether that day.

But now I'm thinking too hard about all the other details, like about how and when I should kiss her. I don't want to push too far too fast, but at the same time I don't want to come off as wimpy and unconfident to her about the whole thing. I don't know exactly what's going on in her mind yet, as we haven't had 'the talk' yet. Do you think the first time I should be cautious and tell her before I kiss her, or should I just do it?

They are. They're all about overly impressing the girl when you should just be getting to know someone. Anyone you actually want to date will see through that, and won't want to date you anymore.
