Girls - You are in a lecture

You are sitting in a university lecture - how would you like to be approached?

It's easy enough for me to sit beside her, but I don't want to plop down and ... blah,

We do have 2 classes together (please remember that in a lecture... there's a lot of people, the first has 300 people and the second has 150 or so)

From my perspective: I think she lives off campus (last year, I walked by her at the bus stop every morning, and I remember rushing home one afternoon and seeing her wait at the bus stop) - i'm no stalker, I just have a good memory for these little things = a few female friends in HS grilled me about noticing and picking up the subtle things, so even things that girls say on the first meeting if the guy can remember is really sweet = anyways, the twice I've seen her in tutorial/review sessions and lecs, she's not with a group/crowd, she just goes in and out (this is typical for people who live off campus, I know cause I lived off campus for the second half of first year).

I just want to know her at least, I want to make it clear that I'm more interested in friendship atm - I've been burned in my last 2ear relationship, I'm not closed off now since it's been a while, but it's not on the top of my mind. Also, one thing I'd like to point out is that I'm one of the young adults that do binge drink, smoke weed, and get high every day and try hard to get accepted, I just get a feeling that she isn't as well

I wouldn't personally want to be spoken to at all during lecture, but then again, I have always been interested in knowing what the professor is saying since my grade depends on it.

Why don't you ask her if she wants to get high after class, since you say you binge drink, get high, etc... then you will know right away if she's your kind of girl.
