I confronted her ego - now it's over

Many people say that when you choose to be with someone, you automatically accept them for who they are.
But what if she thinks that she is unquestionable in absolutely every little thing that she does? What if she believes that even though destiny brought us together, the only thing more important is that she is always right. How can she ****ing be wrong if she's always right? That's what she ****ing thinks! Now it has cost us both the most important relationships we've ever had. She's gone and burned such a solid bridge with me, but she must take her own ego above anything else that could possibly occur anywhere on the planet.
The upside I suppose, is that I don't have to take constant blows by her high-riding ego. Why can't we just be civilized? Why won't she just let me support her without the constant scapegoating me? How can so much love not stop her from taking her shit out on me!!!!!!!!!
I think I'm going to take a break from relationships for a while.

I know how you feel, man. Most likely, she is dealing with some self-esteem issues. Insecurity tends to sometimes show itself as bullheadedness.

I think you should take a break. Just allow yourself to feel guilt-free for a while, it can be a relief. Don't allow her to jerk you around. She needs to grow and mature, but you can't force her to man. Set her free. If she comes crawling back, stay strong. Just basically ignore her. You might not want to put yourself through this whole episode again. Be smart and start using your head more than your heart.

Take a break dude. Relationships shouldn't have to be so much work. Remember that you have probably given this girl a lot more than she can realize right now, but she will.

    You'll be okay.

A twisted turn of events - has anyone else gone through this sort of thing?

    OK get this:
As an added conflict to heap onto the pile of dung that already exists between this, she recently came up with a such rediculous thing, that it is almost funny. (But it's not!!!)
She is a well-known and highly respected member of the community and shit like that. Everybody loves the wonderful (i won't use her name), and now people who were friends to both of us, are turning on me. Sure she's great if she isn't trying to take revenge on you because a relationship didn't go as planned.
About four months ago (a very happy and fruitful time for us) about a hundred dollars went missing from her at her home. I was shocked that this happened, and it made me feel sick to my stomach that some one who had been in our house and knew what a great person she was had victimized her. The night it happened, there were several sketchy people over who I personally would not have invited. It blows my mind that she has just come up with the idea that it was I who did it. She says she 'knew it all along'.
It is amazing what she is willing to pull crap on me like this because I am a threat to her ego. It is such a rock solid ego that the one time I was actually able to talk to her and have a breakthrough with her about it, she was curled up on my couch in the fetal position, because it was so damaging to her ego. Now she prefers to just claim that I was using unfair psychology on her at the time and that I am some sort of criminal mastermind because I took her money. It doesn't even make any sense considering we were sharing costs.
This feels like a completely sick retarded joke. If she doesn't want to have anything to do with me, the least she could do is not try and turn my friends against me and make me feel like I actually have to move far away.
Is this really as twisted and messed up as I think it is, or has anyone else out there ever experienced anything like this?
I can't deal with the crap. What the hell am I supposed to do now?

Tell her how you feel. Before she can interrupt you with her theories, let it all out. If you keep holding this in, it only hurts you . She's walking around probably not even realizing half the stuff she's done to you, and if you keep it all inside it's not going to hurt anyone but yourself. As for your friends, well, talk to them, too. She may be Miss Perfect Citizen, but that doesn't automatically make you public enemy #1. Talk, talk, and talk some more. Make 'em listen.
