Calling a guy

So a guy sent me a message on a dating site inviting me out for coffee. I said yes and gave him my number to have him call or text me. He did and we set a date. He asked me what time I was off work and gave him the time but said it all depended on when my coworkers got there. He said for me then to call him when I got off work.

My question: I hear guys should do the chasing when it comes to first starting to date and a woman should never call the man. Should I call him or just wait for him to call me? I have obviously had problems in the past with stuff like this and still haven't figured it out. I can't keep a guy interested in me.

Guys, advice?

Oh good lord! This is 2012 not 1955. To begin with, this is a casual "meet up" to see if there is any potential for a real date. Dating has become way more informal these days with texting and crap. Relax and stop making it a big deal. Like HeartIsAching said call him and have fun.

I don't know about keeping a guy interested, but you're definitely not very good at the dynamics of male/female interaction, DRC. Call him and tell him what time you're getting off work, jimminy christmas.
